Jesus unexplainable love.

Life is not a snapshot :: It may take a little time but, you'll see the bigger picture.

What an incredible journey it has already been only 2 weeks in! I find myself already discovering the answer to many questions I had before I left to head down here. I underestimate God far too often!

I stay busy most of the time and am going on little sleep so I'm going to give you a run through of what's been going on the past two weeks! Oh, but first you should know that if you ever come down here from Arkansas you WILL get made fun of ALL the time for our accents. Yes, they are different just from 6 hours away! Haha. I just returned from Student Life Middle School Camp in Shocco Springs, AL and it was quite the experience! It was my first time working with middle school and although it was full of it's differences from high school and full of challenges, I think I learned more about myself and things than even the students took from the week! It's amazing how joyful life can be even through it's up's and down's if you focus on other people non stop and just live a Christ filled life letting Him pour out of you in all you do!
My group of girls I lead for small group @ camp!

Gotta love sweet Amelia! I don't think my arms were ever without someone in them this week!

I was able to pray with a girl as she accepted Christ for the first time and one who decided to rededicate her life! There was also another re dedication and another young man who accepted Christ for the first time so thank God for answering some prayers! Besides those huge decisions I saw many experience big changes in their life as they stepped from the norm and let God take the wheel. We finished off the week with a trip to Six Flags which besides the miserable heat (I'm learning just to get used to and get over down around here) it was a blast! Got to spend a lot of fun needed time (or as Chris would call it: IBT -Intern bonding time) with 2 of the other interns Chris & Spencer as well as some wonderful students I got the chance to get to know this past week! You can see more about the week & pictures on the blog we did for the week by
>> clicking here. << Following that, on Saturday I got to go see Carrie Underwood with my "summer family" in Birmingham, Alabama. (BTW, not including Arkansas I've already been to 4 states in 2 weeks woo!) I've basically downloaded Carrie's entire new CD some favorites being Mama's Song, Undo it, Someday when I stop loving you, This time, Look at me, & quitter. LOL a lot I know. The day at the mall and the car ride and of course the concert were all a blast! I am so attached to all of them already I'm not even prepared for when I will have to leave them! I am more than blessed to be living in this home with people I feel like I've known my whole life.
After returning, I am pretty much d r a i n e d of energy for today! My first week included a huge scavenger hunt like trip called Road Rules that took us to Louisiana & Arkansas and back here. It was a blast and I had such a fun group of 9th graders on my team! That week consisted of various other events like cookouts, Chaos, TNT, Intern retreat, cleaning, and much more. Every bit of it enjoyable! God has done so much work in this ministry and in my own heart already I cannot imagine what else this summer has in store!

This week we have Upward Mission Project in a town not too far from here Monday- Friday from 8 til 4:30 each day along with other weekly events mixed in throughout the week! We have one week here after this to do stuff until we take off to Beach Camp @ Orange Beach with the high school! Hopefully though, next week I should be expecting a visit from some of my family or just my mom but either way I love you guys and I miss you and cannot wait to see you! And I apologize it's been a while since I've been able to really call and talk but I am thinking of you guys every day and praying for you and missing you I promise!

If I can ask that you will be praying for me and all of us here.
The other interns are: Kristen Dorsey, Megan Upchurch, Chris Willson, & Spencer McCorkel
So if you're reading this and praying for us, you now know the names of the others you are praying for. Pray for what God is going to do in the lives of the kids we reach this week in Upward Mission Project, pray for God to continue to work in the middle schoolers we impacted this week, for the high schoolers going to beach camp, and rest for us interns in the midst of our hectic schedule. Help us to always remember why we're here and let God take over every aspect of our life and continue to teach us and help us grow into the women and men God is calling us to be!
